Skyfall Bond girl Bérénice Marlohe (Indiewire)
I’m having a total beauty crush on the newest Bond girl
Bérénice Marlohe. At home in Atlanta this weekend, my dad and I went to see
Skyfall. The second Bérénice came on screen, I was all, “Um,
whois that?
Where is she from? And
how can I get that look?”

Bérénice Marlohe from Skyfall - she looks very Maggie Q here, no?
When I was younger, I hated the “Mongolian folds” in the corners of my eyes (they’re actually called Epicanthic folds) that led other kids to ask me, “So, are you, like, Asian, or something?” Once I grew older, I learned to embrace and then eventually even love my distinctive features–but as an insecure, hypersensitive 16 year old, all I wanted was to look like everybody else in my uniform Georgia town.

Bérénice's eye makeup always looks BANANAS GOOD at events, like here at a BAFTAs party
Bérénice is half-French, half Cambodian-Chinese, and girl is hella gorgeous, don’t you think? She reminds me of my Aunt S., who always lined her eyes heavily with kohl, had elegant red fingernails and walked through rooms in a cloud of
Givenchy Amarige. As a child, I thought Aunt S. was
the most glamorous woman on the planet, but eventually displaced her in favor of icy blondes like
Grace Kellyand
Carolyn Bessette. Looks like I’ve come full circle!

She looks like Olivia Munn. Or Monica Bellucci. No, wait, a brunette Jennifer Lawrence. (Movieline.com)
My personal favorite eyeliner for the “waterline” (which is the inner lower rim) is
Buxom Insider Eyeliner in Emerald. Other excellent liners if you’re looking to get this look:
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner and
Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting eyeliner. Keep the liner in place by using an eyeliner brush to set it with a black powder eyeshadow (any shadow will do). And don’t forget to periodically check your inner corners for goop!
